Creator’s Assignment 9/28/2008

Thanks Alfhild for the name of this font. I love the way it worked for these two images for the Engraving Metal Tutorial.

On the top one I followed exactly the directions in the tutorial. In the bottom one I used AlienSkin Eye Candy 5: Impact’s Brushed Metal plugin with the same angle and color as the tutorial.

I love how it turned out.

Why I am way too busy.

As you can see I have been a busy little beaver. I started taking Paint Shop Pro Classes through the Stepping-Stones-Through-PSP
Yahoo Group. I am really enjoying it as it is making learning to do the tags from WOSIB a lot easier. I don’t have to search as much for the tools.

The other thing is that I am working on getting a Wacom Bamboo Tablet. Between my daughter who loves to draw and my photo editing and sig tag making it would be so much easier.

Creators Assignment 9/21/2008

About a month ago, I took my daughters on a walk in the woods at a local park. I have to say our local parks are VERY uncrowded. We were the only ones there. I took a bunch of photos and my daughter B snapped a couple too. For this weeks Creators assignment I used one of her photos of some bird feeders and flowers and applied a colored chalk effect. The frame is included in PSP, I just cropped it down to make it thinner. The point of the assignment is to create a mask. So I masked the image with my tutorial mask.

Creator’s Assignment 9/14/2008

These are backgrounds I created doing the Crystal Background tutorial. This was way too fun. I couldn’t stop myself.

The images are from (left to right, top to bottom) – JASC, a Halloween Tube from a couple of years ago; a fractal image I created in Ultra Fractal; a sig tag I made in Our Retreat; and a photo of a rock bridge over a waterfall; a photo of a dog, and painting.

Creator’s Assignment 9/7/2008

For this week’s Assignment I did the Broken Hearted tutorial. I ended up not using the animation nor fully desaturating my image. I felt this one needed the brownish shade. The image comes from lisajen’s stock images at deviantArt.
